The Amaizing Pet Adventure

Thanks for celebrating  Susie’s birthday with us!

Amaizing Pet AdventureThis year we celebrated Susie’s birthday complete with cake (for the dogs!) and all the trimmings. Owners and pets came to  Susie’s birthday party, enjoyed the fun and also got to know some of the wonderful dogs from area animal rescue and care groups. Several people found and adopted their new best friend!

All proceeds from The Amaizing Pet Adventure go to the GCAS Animal Trauma Center. This one-of-a-kind medical center provides urgent medical treatment for injured and abused animals. It’s the first of its kind in all of North Carolina!

Admission to the annual Amaizing Pet Adventure is FREE! Plan to attend our 2011 event next fall – you and your family will have a great time while showing your support for animals and pets throughout the area. If you’re looking for a pet, it’s a great chance to see dogs from different rescue groups in our region. Come early and stay the entire day, there’s plenty to do for you and your whole family.

Here are some of fun activities people and pets enjoyed at the 2010 Pet Adventure:

  • Visits with Susie to wish her a happy first birthday.
  • Got to know other animals from area rescue and adoption groups.
  • Found fantastic animal products and gifts from one of our many supporting vendors.
  • Entered their dog in the UAC Dog Show – NC’s biggest and best show for rescued and adopted dogs!
  • Had a picnic, listened to live music, sat back and relaxed.
  • Romped through the Maize Adventure – the area’s largest and most awesome corn maze!
  • Bought raffle tickets and won some GREAT prizes!
  • Flew through the air on the NEW 1.5 mile Kersey Valley Zip Line
  • Had a great time with friends, family and their pets!

Plan to come to next year’s Amaizing Pet Adventure and PAWS Adoptathon next fall. You’ll be helping area animals in need while having a great fun-filled day with your family and pet!
